Scandi-Style Oak Cabinet

Project Brief: My client was looking for a stylish, Scandinavian-inspired cupboard to use as a pantry and storage space. It needed to fit nearly at the bottom of a staircase and offer function and a clean, modern look.

To achieve the right balance of style and practicality, I recommended a combination of man-made board and solid oak, allowing for durability and warmth without unnecessary weight or cost. The client wanted a clean front with no protruding handles, so I crafted custom finger pulls for a minimalist finish that avoids bumps in a narrow halfway.

Approach

Materials: Oak and painted board

Fittings: Chrome hardware for a contemporary touch

Lighting: integrated lighting installed inside for visibility and ease of use

Details

A practical, well-finished cupboard that blends beautifully with the space and meets the client’s needs. The result was a discreet yet strike piece of joinery - and a very happy client.
